Martin Luther was born in Eisleben, Germany on November 10th. He was most well known for being a pastor, professor, and church reformer. He started the Protestant reformation when he attacked the church for indulging in sales, rather than resting on the sole trust in Jesus Christ. He was the founder of the new church and the Lutheran religion is based off of his thoughts.
This quote means that if one does not live their life to the fullest, they will forever be a fool. “Wine, women, and song” may not be taken as literally today as it was back then, but rather means enjoying the fun things in life.
